After aborted attempts to reach camp 3, Ambrose, Ryan, and Scott are back down at advanced base camp along with Al. However, Michael and our two Sherpas made it to the 7900-meter camp yesterday and today made it to the 8300-meter camp! At 8 pm Nepal Time if the weather is still good they will set out for the summit. Michael said that they are all feeling strong and were able to sleep last night and that there is no wind at 8300 meters. As of the time I’m writing this post, the mountain is completely clear at sunset. They will be among the first to make their summit attempt on the North side of the mountain, but there are several other groups high on the mountain as well. We here at ABC will monitor their progress throughout the night and keep you posted. We’re really excited about Michaels attempt and hope he makes it. This may be the last weather window, but we are hoping for one more before the 28th. Ambrose
